Founded and has been successfully managing The Blair Lancaster Spa and Modeling Agency for over thirty-six years. This success has been acknowledged, resulting in many awards, including the Award of Excellence from Cogeco TV and the honour of a nomination from the Royal Bank of Canada for the Canadian Women’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000. Consistent Awards from the Burlington Post for best Burlington Business, Safe Passages, Halton Woman of the Year, Burlington Civic Recognition Award, Zonta Founder's Humanitarianism Award and many more.
Executive Director of Breast Cancer Support Services
Responsible for the management of staff and administration, all of the community development and fundraising initiatives, insuring the integrity of programs and services, management and development of the board of directors and the financial management of the organization including the annual budget.
Setting the Strategic Vision for the organization, including programs and volunteer & community initiatives and communicating those initiatives to stakeholders, staff, volunteers and the board of directors.
Led and completed a capital campaign resulting in a complete renovation of the Breast Cancer facilities to improve accessibility as well as developing programs space and the building of a Serenity Garden for all Cancer survivors.
Responsible for engineering the Breast Cancer Support Services donation of $100,000.00 to JBMH and most recently a commitment of $25,000.
Responsible for information technology, privacy, policy and alignment with the organization.
Community Leadership and Support
Appointed to the Board of Governors at Sheridan College in 1988-1993. Served as Chair of the Student & Staff affairs and Vice Chair of the board. Also served on the advisory board of the college for 12 years.
Volunteered as Co-Chair of the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Capital Campaign in 1988. This effort raised $2,000,000 for their Maternity Child Unit.
Subsequently joined the foundation board of JBMH, and served for a three-year term.
Supported hundreds of community groups throughout Burlington by coordinating fundraisers, providing donations and gifts and volunteering time to these worthwhile causes.
Member of the Rotary Club of Burlington, The Chamber of Commerce, Volunteer Halton, Canadian Breast Cancer Network, Breast Cancer Support Services.
