Caring for the Community

I am looking forward to working along with our residents to ensure their voices are heard at council and that they are informed at an early stage on issues.
 
As the proprietor of a successful business in Burlington for over 36 years, I will bring business experience and leadership to your council.

There is no doubt in my mind that applying Business Best Practice’s to Government will help ensure quality, value and accountability, all of which are essential in the delivery of services to our citizens.

Raising my children here in Burlington has given me insight into the real value of our educational infrastructure. My commitment to Education has led me to become a member of The Board of Directors at Sheridan College. I have also served in a number of capacities with the Ministry of Education, The Halton Board of Education and The Halton District Catholic School Board. This experience will help me work with council on behalf of both parents and students.

One of my proudest and most rewarding community accomplishments has been as the Executive Director of Breast Cancer Support Services. It has been an honour growing this small grass roots charity to a globally recognized and respected organization serving women and families of individuals affected by Breast Cancer.
 
 Through the years I have seen Burlington change from Orchards and Farmlands to community neighbourhoods. I believe it is crucial to protect what is left of our green space and respect our environment by reducing our footprint on it. The time to act in ensuring a healthy environmental future is now!
